The Bosch Siemens Home Office was designed by William McDonough and completed in Spring 2011. It is home to five of the top brands in household appliances: Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau, Neff and Solitaire. The new building, located in Park 20/20 near Amsterdam is truly unique because it is one of the few offices that is built according to the C2C principles. All the Accoya claddings were treated with WoodGuard Color Professional supplied by our distributor Leegwater.

The Haven Project in Horning, Norfolk, has been named as the winner of the Residential Design of the Year at the 2011 Spirit of Ingenuity Awards. The Haven Project provides a gracefully designed and sustainable new house and boathouse, perfectly complementing its surroundings in the picturesque waterside village of Horning.

Due to the high probability of flooding in the Norfolk Broads, only materials that possess long-lasting durability and the ability to cope with a wet climate would be able to meet the demands of the project and Accoya wood as specified. Accoya wood could face the challenge of being exposed to such conditions without shrinkage and reduced performance. For this project, the Accoya wood was used for cladding, decking and screening. Architects, Lambert, Scott and Innes modernised the design by creating a unique, curved Accoya rear screen; this was to resemble a traditional wooden boat construction.

For the protection and decoration of Accoya, the company Accsys Technologies applied Guard Industry's product WoodGuard Color Professional, our protection and decoration product for wood.

Guard Industry UK has become Associate Members of British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF). The British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF) is the trade association of precast concrete manufacturers. The main aims of the federation are to promote precast concrete in the construction market and to disseminate information, through a range of industry representation and by shared knowledge, to add value to its member companies. During BATIMAT, we welcomed certain members of the Club 1 % For the Planet, the environmental association Guard Industry has been supporting since 2007. Created in 2001, this club is aimed at encouraging companies to donate 1% of their annual sales to environmental associations. Since its creation, 1 % for the planet has become one of the most important sources of funding of environmental protection in the world. Today about 700 companies members of this club distribute more than 40 million dollars to 1500 associations in the world.
